The purpose of public education in Berlin is to stimulate and guide along with parents, the intellectual, emotional, and physical growth of all students in the community toward responsive, self-disciplined, creative, contributory, and perceptive citizenship in a free society. To accomplish this purpose the system of education must recognize individual differences while helping each student to develop toward his or her full potential.

Technology Safety for Today’s Parents
The Bulletin Board
One of the goals of the Berlin Board of Education is to keep the greater Berlin community informed of the Board’s work on behalf of students. One such initiative is the creation of The Bulletin Board, a brief document that provides a summary of what takes place at each Board of Education meeting. Parents or community members who wish to receive an electronic copy of The Bulletin Board can email Debbie Batista, executive secretary to the superintendent of schools, at dbatista@berlinschools.org. Individuals should provide their name, email address, and (for parents) children/school/grades. The Bulletin Board, as well as Board agendas and minutes, can also be found on the district’s website at berlinschools.org. Please contact Mrs. Batista at 828-6581 if you have any questions.
