Paula BrownPaula has served as the McGee math interventionist since 2013. She has had an immediate impact on student success, both academically and socially.  She is an invaluable member of the math team, with her tireless work ethic and commitment to students and colleagues.  At the beginning of each school year, Paula tells her students that this is the year they unleash their math genius, increase their self-confidence, and the year they learn to like math.  She believes that teaching middle school students is truly a gift because they are so unique and have an amazing sense of humor.  She understands and appreciates that they are dealing with vast emotional and personal development, and yet are able to use humor to adjust to the drama that makes middle school what it is.  Paula is caring, flexible, respectful, professional and enthusiastic.  She shares new learning strategies with her colleagues and in turn, learns and collaborates with them.  Paula encourages new thinking, celebrates student achievement and acknowledges that mistakes are expected on our path to success.  Paula is a tremendous asset to McGee and to the Berlin community.
