Today is a Day 1 Schedule

 

First GSA+ Club Meeting Our first meeting is after school on Monday 10/16 at 2:15 pm in room 2402. Allies are as welcome as community members. The focus of the first meeting is an introduction to GSA, ice-breakers and pronouns.


Wrestling Pre-Season Meeting Wednesday, October 18 at 2:30 pm in the Cafe: All prospective candidates for this year’s Redcoat Wrestling Team should report promptly, meeting will only taken about 20 minutes. All candidates should remember to sign up on Family ID and have all their Athletic Department paperwork completed before practice begins on November 27th. Wrestling Pre-Season Workouts are Mondays and Thursdays starting on October 23rd at 3:00 pm.


Newspaper Club Are you interested in journalism? Are you looking for a new club to join? Come to the Newspaper Club meeting on Monday, October 16 at 2:15 in the Media Center. We will be addressing story ideas for our upcoming publication. Please see Mrs. Rice or Ms. Briganti with any questions.


Men’s Swimming and Diving Meeting Anyone interested in joining the men’s swimming and diving team this winter is encouraged to come to a brief meeting Monday, October 16th, right after school in room 2304. If you cannot make the meeting but are interested in joining, please see either Mr. Thurston in room 2304 or Mrs. Thurston in room 2305.


Boys Basketball Pre-Season Meeting If you’re interested in playing basketball this year, please attend a meeting in the Library Media Center at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Coach Veneziano will answer questions and provide information on the upcoming season.


Pop Culture Club The next Pop Culture Club meeting will be on October 17th at 2:15p in the school counseling department. Come and join us as we talk about TV shows, movies, music, and more!


Habitat for Humanity meeting cancelled today The Habitat for Humanity meeting is cancelled for today, Monday 10/16. Please make every effort to attend Wednesday morning.


Liquid Nitrogen All cryogenically curious BHS folk are welcome to join the science club after school on Tuesday 10/24, in room 2122 to explore the wonders of liquid nitrogen. New members are welcome at all times. See Mr. Hanna or Mrs. Hurley for questions.


Hockey There will be a meeting for any interested hockey players on Wednesday, October 25th at 6:00 pm in the upstairs conference room at Newington Ice Rink.


Grad Gown Measurements On Monday, October 16th between 1:00 and 3:00 pm seniors will be sized for graduation gowns and confirm preferences for how they'd like their name to appear on their diploma and diploma cover. This will also be the only opportunity to purchase an extra tassel, if desired; cost is $6 each (all students will receive a tassel when they receive their cap and gown in June).
