Feed Our Friends Food Drive According to the Connecticut food bank, nearly half a million Connecticut residents struggle with hunger. 127,000 of Connecticut’s children are food insecure. Please consider helping our neighbors by contributing to our Feed Our Friends Food Drive. Donations can be dropped off in the main lobby between 7:10 and 7:20 am from Thursday, November 2nd through Thursday, November 16th. Thank you for your assistance.
Rotary International Youth Exchange Presentation BHS Interact will be hosting an informational session on Rotary’s international youth exchange programs on Wednesday, November 15th at 6:45 pm in the video amphitheater at BHS. High school students and parents are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact Ms. Hatton (Rm 2226).
Dance Team The dance team is looking to expand its membership - all grades welcome! Please see Mrs. Mayette or Miss Herrera for details and mark your calendars: Tryouts will be on November 14, 16, and 20, 2:15-3:45, location TBD.
Girls Basketball There will be a mandatory meeting of all girls interested in trying out for girls basketball on Tuesday, November 21 in room 2401 at 3:30. See Coach King if you have any questions.
Upbeat Meeting The next Upbeat meeting is Monday, November 20, 2017 in the BHS Cafe. Pizza is served at 5:15. Hope to see everyone there.
Ski Trips If anyone is interested in participating in this year's set of ski trips we will be having a meeting at 2:20 in the Upbeat Room on Thursday, November 16, 2017. Hope to see everyone there! We will discuss locations and potential dates. Come with any ideas to make these trips better!
Yearbook Meeting!!! There will be a yearbook meeting on Thursday, November 16th at 2:20. The meeting should last about an hour. Try to have the pages you signed up for at least half done. Please let Mr. Wicander know if you can't make it. Our 1st deadline is approaching quickly.
BHS Drama Fall Play Coming Soon! The Drama Club's annual fall production on the BHS stage is coming! And we are inviting you to come out and see us Dec 1 - 3rd as we present John Cariani's play: "Almost, Maine". Tickets are on sale now at almostmaine.ludus.com and are $8 for students and $10 for adults. We hope to see many of you there as we tour through a little town in Northern Maine. Cast Ons Looking for a way to keep warm during the winter months? Are you interested in learning how to knit or crochet? If so, please join the "Cast Ons" on Friday mornings at 6:45, in room 2302 with Ms. Gagnon. You can learn how to knit or crochet a scarf, hat and/or blanket. Please bring yarn and knitting needles or a crochet hook. If you have any questions about what to bring, please see me. Students and staff are welcome!
