Today is a Day 2 Schedule
Girls Lacrosse There will be an interest meeting for girls lacrosse on Monday, January 29th at 2:20 in room 1201 - across from the radio station.
Student Government A meeting will be held on January 25th in Rm 2302 to plan "Carnations and a Kiss" and to begin planning for the "Spring Festival" on March 17th.
New Midterm Dates The two recent snow days have made it necessary to adjust the Berlin High School quarter end and midterm exam schedules. Midterms were scheduled to take place January 16th through 19th; instead, January 16th and 17th will be regular, full schools days (7:25 am to 2:10 pm), and midterms will take place January 18th through 23rd. The updated schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, January 16 - full day (Day 3) Wednesday, January 17 - full day (Day 4; quarter ends) Thursday, January 18 - Midterms for Period 1 (7:25 – 9:20 am) and Period 2 (9:35 – 11:30 am) Friday, January 19 - Midterms for Period 3 (7:25 – 9:20 am) and Period 4 (9:35 – 11:30 am) Monday, January 22 - Midterms for Period 5 (7:25 – 9:20 am) and Period 6 (9:35 – 11:30 am) Tuesday, January 23 - Midterms for Period 7 (7:25 – 9:20 am) and Period 8 (9:35 – 11:30 am)
Parks & Rec Summer Employment The Berlin Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for summer positions for Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor/Lifeguard, Pool Attendant, and Summer Fun Supervisor. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and meet the required qualifications for these positions. For applications and job descriptions contact the Berlin Parks and Recreation Department at 860-828-7009, stop by the Berlin Parks and Recreation Department, or check the Town website at www.town.berlin.ct.us under employment opportunities. Deadline for applications is Friday, February 2nd at 1:00 pm.
Cast Ons Looking for a way to keep warm during the winter months? Are you interested in learning how to knit or crochet? If so, please join the "Cast Ons" on Thursday mornings at 6:45, in room 2302 with Ms. Gagnon (please note the change in meeting day). You can learn how to knit or crochet a scarf, hat and/or blanket. Please bring yarn and knitting needles or a crochet hook. If you have any questions about what to bring, please see me. Students and staff are welcome!
