The McGee fall book fair will run from Monday, October 16th - Friday, October 20th from 7:20 am to 3:00 pm daily in the library.

The Card Club will meet after school on Wednesday, October 11th in room 221.  Please make sure you have turned in a signed parent permission form.

BOYS  SOCCER

The McGee Boys Varsity Soccer Team earned their first win of the season on Thursday with a convincing 6-2 victory over East Hampton.  Adam Kozubal had 2 goals, while Colby Nardelli, Marco Marino, Nick Vignone and Josh Grimm each scored as well.  Sean Hunt had 2 assists, while Grimm, Nardelli and Vignone also assisted on goals.  Monty Malinauskas, Anthony Burgio, Mason Arborio and Manny Leone were solid on defense.  The JV Team won their game by a score of 3-0.  Mason Arborio, Josh Braun and John Barnat scored off assists from Manny Leone and Josh Grimm.  Nate Snyder anchored the defense as Hamza Mourabit earned the shutout in goal.


CROSS  COUNTRY

On Thursday October 5th, the Boy's and Girl's cross country teams competed against Cromwell Middle.  The girl's out come was better than the first time the team met Cromwell but their effort came up a little short.  The girl's lost by a score of 24-31.  Bailey Baclaski led McGee as she chopped 30 seconds off of her best time. Isabela Kmita came in second for McGee, followed by sixth grader Hayley Campanelli in 6th, Hailey Nims in 8th and Margaret Taylor in 10th.
The boy's team continued their winning ways as six boys finished in the top ten.  Austin Vale da Serra, paced the Spartans coming in at 12min. 18 sec for the 2 mile course.  He was followed by Ben Fisher in 3rd, Sean Colello in 4th, Jack Baclaski in 6th, Xander Hummel in 7th, Caleb Uliaz in 10th and Will Turgeon in 11th.

The teams will meet Rocky Hill at Sage Park today.
