1990 BHS Alum Brings Gift of Reading to Indonesian Children

Former BHS student, Dave Spinelli, is working at a primary school in Papua, Indonesia.  Dave writes "I have just moved back to Papua, Indonesia to help develop an Indonesian school here (YPJ).  It’s a K through 9 school with about 750 students.  My job is to focus on the English Language development of teachers, but I’m pretty involved in all sorts of areas of the administration of the school."  Dave and his wife have been keeping a Blog of their adventures - http://teamspinelli.blogspot.com/2011/08/exploring-rainforest.html

Recently, Media Specialist Dave Scannell organized sending a parcel of books from BHS to Mr. Spinelli's school.  Mr Spinelli responds "We haven’t opened all the boxes yet.  I’m still doing some little library programs with each of the classes one by one, [but] please extend our heart-felt thanks to everyone for their generous donations, including to you and the students who put in so much time and energy to make it happen!  Much appreciated.  We cannot express it enough.
