Curriculum

The Grade Level Competencies listed in these documents indicate what students should know and be able to accomplish in each curriculum area or discipline. The purpose of this document is to provide the reader with a general guide to the total instructional content for the elementary education program in the town of Berlin. Berlin teachers using the Berlin Public Schools curriculum, the Connecticut Framework, K-12 Curricular Goals and Standards, and the national standards in each of the respective disciplines developed this Grade Level Competencies Brochure. Students are expected to demonstrate proficiency in each of these competencies by the end of each school year.
