Upbeat The next Upbeat meeting is Monday, February 5, 2018 in the BHS Cafe. Pizza is served at 5:15 pm.


Baseball Pre-Season Meeting Anyone interested in playing Baseball in the spring should plan on attending a pre-season meeting next Tuesday, February 6th at 2:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.


AP Test Information Attention AP Students! It is time to register for your AP exams. The online registration program is open from 2/5-2/23, and the cost is $93 per exam. Visit the BHS website for the link to register. See Mrs. Pires in the counseling office with any questions.


Girls Golf Any girls interested in playing golf are encouraged to attend a meeting next Wednesday, February 7th at 2:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Coach Barnes will provide information about sign-ups, tryouts, and practices.


Softball All athletes who are planning on trying out for the Berlin High School softball team, there will be a very brief but mandatory informational meeting after school this Wednesday, February 7th, at 2:15 pm in Coach Pires’s room (room 1506). The meeting is to discuss the upcoming season and review the practice schedule as well as preseason requirements including permission forms. Please see coach Pires with any questions.


Mindful Mondays Stressed??? Want to relax at the end of a day? Try Guided Mindful Meditation..... Come join me for a guided mindful meditation group, Mondays starting 2/12/18 at 2:20 for 6 Mondays. We will meet in the Video Amphitheater and go through calming, guided meditation. Each week will be a new theme. Sign up with Mrs. Taradeina in the school counseling office before our first meeting.


School Counseling Week! Help us celebrate School Counselor Week! Want to win a gift card to Dunkin, Subway, or Dairy Queen? Then come to the school counseling office before or after school or during a study hall to enter to win. One winner will be chosen every day from Monday, 2/2 through Friday, 2/9.


Ski Trip The BHS Ski Trip to Mount Snow is Saturday, February 24, 2018. Please see Mr. Rudy, Mr. Kolbig, or Miss Berube for a permission slip or questions. Permission slips are due by February 14, 2018.


Carnation and a Kiss Do you want to do something nice for a friend? Do you want to contribute to a fundraiser that will benefit a member of the Berlin community? If so, consider purchasing a "Carnation and a Kiss." Each carnation will cost $1 and will be delivered on February 14th during Advisory. To purchase a flower, see a member of the Student Government during your lunch from 2/5 to 2/9. When purchasing the flower, please know the location of your friend during Advisory. All profit from this fundraiser will go to Berlin Helping Berlin (BHB). In addition, Student Government will donate a dollar to BHB for every carnation sold.


Cast Ons Looking for a way to keep warm during the winter months? Are you interested in learning how to knit or crochet? If so, please join the "Cast Ons" on Thursday mornings at 6:45, in room 2302 with Ms. Gagnon (please note the change in meeting day). You can learn how to knit or crochet a scarf, hat and/or blanket. Please bring yarn and knitting needles or a crochet hook. If you have any questions about what to bring, please see me. Students and staff are welcome!


Gay-Straight Alliance BHS's gay-straight alliance, the GSA+ Club, invites any and all students wishing to continue ADL-inspired conversations on LGBTQA topics to our meeting on Monday, 2/5 in room 2402. See Mrs. Hurley, Mrs. DiTomasso, or Mrs. Thomson with questions.
