TEEN DRIVER EDUCATION PROGRAM - 

Our TEEN DRIVER EDUCATION PROGRAM includes 30 hours of classroom study, including text materials and 8 hours of private, individual driving lessons, in one of our specially equipped training vehicles.  Students enrolled in a scheduled class must be 16 years of age by the start of class.  Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a DMV  form CS-1 certificate of completion.

June 25 to July 12    Summer Session 8 Days   9am-1pm                                          Mon,Tues, Wed,Thur

*One parent or legal guardian is required to attend the first class session with student for the full two hours. Parent Class is in the Video Amp. Room.

8 Hour Teen Safe driving PROGRAM -

Our 8 HOUR TEEN SAFE DRIVING PROGRAM provides a curriculum that will fulfill the minimum requirement of the State of Connecticut for license applicants under 18 years of age.  Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a DMV form CS-1, which is necessary to take the road test.

  *One parent or legal guardian is required to attend the first class session with student for the full two hours. Parent Class is in the Video Amp. Room.

OPTION 1: $150.00 8 Hour Teen Safe Driving Class only

OPTION 2:  $390.00 Member   $470.00 Non-Member  Includes the “8 Hour Safe Driving Program” plus two, 2 hour driving lessons, to prepare the student for their DMV road test.

Additional 2 hour private in- car lessons are available at the member rate of $130.00 or the non-member rate of $160.00.

DMV Road Test  at Berlin High School Last Thursday of each  Month, including the use of our training vehicle: $85.00 Fee

 The new Driver Education regulation mandates a 2-hour class to be attended by both the student and at least one parent

GETTING YOUR PERMIT FROM CT DMV:

The DMV permit process, leading to the procurement of a driver's license is very precise.  Before earning a driver's license, all 16-and 17-year-olds must first obtain a learner's permit to practice driving.   Learner's permit testing is offered by appointment only at the following DMV offices: BridgeportCheshireDanburyHamdenNorwalk, Old Saybrook, Waterbury,  Wethersfield and Willimantic
