With more than 8,000 votes and 2,000 views to our video submission, McGee Middle School finished in the top 10 in voting in the Follett Challenge's national education contest, which means McGee is assured the People's Choice award of $8,000 for our school! We can't everyone thank you enough for the support, the sharing of posts and emails and spreading the word. So many people in our community helped - from the grocery stores, to the pizza restaurants and hair salons, to the sports organizations and preschools - everyone came together to support our school district. Today is Day 5 - the final day - of the Follett Challenge! McGee is holding strong at fourth place in the national education contest, with more than 6,000 votes! To help our school secure votes, please visit our direct video link, https://follettchallenge.com/video.cfm?id=691 Twenty percent of the total score is community voting. The other 80 percent is based on a judging rubric. A total of 13 prizes will be awarded. The top 10 vote getters earn the People's Choice award, which is $8,000. There are three semifinal awards, each worth $30,000. One is awarded to a High School, one to a Middle School, one to an Elementary School. Winners will be announced on February 28th.
