Willard Snapshot: Number Talks
Posted 04/18/2018 07:14PM

This month’s “Willard Snapshot” focuses on Number Talks and the Habit of Mind of “Thinking and Communicating with Clarity and Precision”. Each day, Number Talks are integrated into the Math Workshop period and provide students with opportunities to apply mental math to complex problems. During this time, students are asked to provide their thinking and reasoning, explain the strategies they used to solve a problem and justify why their approach was both effective and efficient. We are very proud of our students and their abilities to be clear and effective with both their verbal and written explanations.
