Posted 06/20/2017 03:39PM

Mrs. Amenta has been an English teacher at Berlin High School for the past nine years.   In her current assignment, she teaches American Voices & Modern Issues, Speech Communication, and the UCONN/ECE Seminar in Academic Writing.  Mrs. Amenta obtained her bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University and her master’s degree from Quinnipiac University.  She was a JV Softball coach this past spring and will take over the reigns of the BHS Varsity Girls Soccer team as head coach in the fall.

This will certainly be an exciting year for Mrs. Amenta as she will next submit applications for the CT Teacher of the Year selection process, she will be a speaker at the the BHS Teacher Convocation in August, and she will be honored at the Berlin Board of Education Meeting in November.  Please join us all in congratulating Mrs. Amenta as the 2018 Teacher of the Year for the Berlin Public Schools.
