Feed Our Friends Food Drive According to the Connecticut food bank, nearly half a million Connecticut residents struggle with hunger. 127,000 of Connecticut’s children are food insecure. Please consider helping our neighbors by contributing to our Feed Our Friends Food Drive. Donations can be dropped off in the main lobby between 7:10 and 7:20 am from Thursday, November 2nd through Thursday, November 16th. Thank you for your assistance.
Berlin Parks and Rec The Berlin Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for basketball referees for the boys and girls 3rd through 8th grade programs on Saturdays. You must be at least 15 years old. The program starts in December. Applications can be obtained from the Parks and Recreation Department or on the Town website. Deadline to apply is Friday, November 10th by 1:00 pm.
Upbeat Meeting The next Upbeat meeting is Monday, November 6, 2017 in the BHS Cafe. Pizza will be served at 5:15. Hope to see you all there.
Empty Bowls The first meeting of the school year will take place on Wednesday, November 8th at 2:15 in Room 1700. Come learn about the upcoming event and all the great plans we have for this year!
Dance Team Tryouts If you would like to be a part of the new BHS Redcoat Dance Team, please join us for an informational meeting on Wednesday, November 8th at 2:15 pm (15-20 minutes) in room 1505. Please see Mrs. Mayette or Miss Herrera if you have any questions. Practices will take place on November 14, 16, and 20 from 2:15 to 3:45 pm.
Writing Center Our next meeting for all current Writing Center tutors will take place on Wednesday, November 8 at 2:15 in room 1501. Please make every effort to attend.
Legally Blonde: The Musical Auditions for this year's musical production of "Legally Blonde: The Musical" will take place on Monday, November 13th; Wednesday, November 15th; and Thursday, November 16th. Please see Mr. Boyle in the music department for audition materials, sign-ups, and more info!
Rotary International Youth Exchange Presentation BHS Interact will be hosting an informational session on Rotary’s international youth exchange programs on Wednesday, November 15th at 6:45 pm in the video amphitheater at BHS. High school students and parents are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact Ms. Hatton (Rm 2226).
