NEW AND IMPORTANT!!!
BHS ATHLETICS POWERSCHOOL REGISTRATION PROCESS!


Berlin HS athletics will utilize PowerSchool to register for athletic teams starting with the 2026-27 school year. *FamilyID will no longer be used. Below is the THREE-STEP process that is required to participate on the first day of practice. Please adhere to all deadlines to ensure you can participate on the first day!

STEP 1    →   PowerSchool Registration Process…

a.              Sign into your PowerSchool (Parent Portal) account and follow the detailed instructions linked here…

b.              Once logged in to PowerSchool - Click on Student Profile Student Forms General Forms Athletics Registration 1) Student-Athlete Handbook and 2) Sports Registration.

c.              There are TWO forms required through the PowerSchool (Parent Portal) account which are the Student-Athlete Handbook and Sports Registration forms. Under Sports Registration there are SEVEN documents you must read and electronically sign to complete the registration process. Under Student-Athlete Handbook, you must read and electronically sign to complete the registration process. By electronically signing your name, you agree that you have read and understand all required information.

d.              Once you have signed off on all the forms, click the blue submit button on the bottom right of the page. Once submitted, a green check with a Thank You message will appear. You have now completed step 1. Proceed to step 2. 

STEP  2   →   Sign Up to Tryout Google Form…

a.              Click on this BHS WEBSITE LINK

b.              Visit the webpage and click on the appropriate season and team your son/daughter will be trying out for. This opens a Google form you MUST fill out!

c.              You have now completed step 2. Please make sure your health forms have been submitted and you receive a blue/red card before attending the first practice. 

STEP  3   →   Submit Appropriate Health Forms/Physical…

a.              This process has NOT changed. 

b.              All student-athletes must have an active physical on file with the Nurse’s Office to try out for any sports team in any season. 

c.              All student-athletes MUST also have a blue or red card to hand to their coach on the first day of try outs or they CANNOT participate!

Deadlines…

a.              There are deadlines associated with all of the above that vary by sport and season. Please pay attention to whatever deadlines are required to assure being able to participate on the first day of tryouts for your sport and season.

Informational NCAA Eligibility Video

The link below will take you to a one-hour webinar conducted by the NCAA Eligibility Center's staff. In this webinar, NCAA Staff discussed requirements student-athletes must know to be eligible to play Division I or II sports. A question-and-answer session was held at the end of the event, with Eligibility Center staff on hand to answer submitted questions. The recorded event is a great resource to share with your student-athletes and their families!
