SPRING 2026 SPORTS REGISTRATION OPENS SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2026!
2026 Spring Tryout/Practice Information
The spring sports season for Berlin High School can start on Saturday, March 21, 2065 (with baseball and softball pitchers and catchers starting earlier).
While these dates/times are official as of its release, changes may, and likely, will occur. Please pay attention to the method the coaches communicate with their student-athletes in case any changes do happen.

The girls golf team will begin practice at Timberlin Golf Course starting on Monday, March 23 at 2:30 pm. (weather permitting).
Coach Barnes will communicate with the team with alternate plans should the weather not cooperate. -

Spring 2026
FAMILY ID OPENS SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2026 FOR SPRING SPORTS
Family ID is OPEN! Students planning to try out for a spring sport must fill out Family ID, including having a valid physical on file with the Nurse's Office in order to try out.
The deadline to sign up on FamilyID and hand in your physical forms is Friday, March 6, 2026!
This allows our spring coaches and medical staff enough time to prepare for tryouts.
Berlin offers the following spring sports options ...
Boys - baseball, lacrosse, outdoor track, and tennis.
Girls - golf, lacrosse, softball, tennis, and outdoor track.
The deadline to pickup your blue or red card from the Nurse’s Office is:
Wednesday, March 11, 2026 for baseball and softball pitchers and catchers week;
Wednesday, March 18, 2026 for all other sports.
Tryouts can officially start on Saturday, March 21, 2026 per CIAC rules and regulations. Some coaches may not start until Monday, March 23, 2026.
Note: Baseball (Saturday, March 14, 2026) and Softball (Saturday, March 14, 2026) can start earlier with a pitchers and catchers conditioning period.

Informational NCAA Eligibility Video
The link below will take you to a one-hour webinar conducted by the NCAA Eligibility Center's staff. In this webinar, NCAA Staff discussed requirements student-athletes must know to be eligible to play Division I or II sports. A question-and-answer session was held at the end of the event, with Eligibility Center staff on hand to answer submitted questions. The recorded event is a great resource to share with your student-athletes and their families!
