Gay-Straight Alliance BHS's gay-straight alliance, the GSA+ Club, invites any and all students wishing to continue ADL-inspired conversations on LGBTQA topics to our meeting on Monday, 2/5 in room 2402. See Mrs. Hurley, Mrs. DiTomasso, or Mrs. Thomson with questions.
Bowl Olympics Come and watch as students and teachers create bowls on the pottery wheel and compete in 5 different categories including Most Creative, Best Overall, and Blindfolded. All are welcome to stop by -- Wednesday January 31st, 2:15-3:45, Room 1700.
Red Cross Blood Drive Please consider donating blood at the upcoming blood drive hosted by the Red Cross Club on Friday, February 2nd from 8am to 1pm in the B gym. A sign up sheet is posted outside of Miss Cassello's office 12c (next to the school store), or you can email her with a time and she will add you to the sign up sheet. You must be at least 17 years old and come with two forms of valid ID. We hope to see you there!
Upbeat The next Upbeat meeting is Monday, February 5, 2018 in the BHS Cafe. Pizza is served at 5:15 pm.
Writing Center The Writing Center will re-open on Thursday, February 1st. All students who would like assistance in any part of the writing process should visit this link to schedule an appointment with a tutor: http://www.berlinschools.org/page.cfm?p=1265. Appointments can be made during students' study halls and after school. The writing center is located in room 1500.
Yearbook Attention Students interested in Yearbook, there will be a meeting on Thursday, February 1st at 2:20 in rm 1602. Returning and new students are welcome.
Unity Team Unity Team will be meeting on Wednesday, January 31st at 2:15pm in Ms. Portal's room, 1507. Both current and new members are welcome.
Girls Basketball Berlin High School is celebrating girls basketball senior night on Thursday, February 1st at 6:45 pm. Two seniors, Alana Garofalo and DeAna Gibson, will be recognized. Please support the girls basketball seniors on Thursday!
AP Test Information Attention AP Students! It is time to register for your AP exams. The online registration program is open from 2/5-2/23, and the cost is $93 per exam. Visit the BHS website for the link to register. See Mrs. Pires in the counseling office with any questions.
Baseball Pre-Season Meeting Anyone interested in playing Baseball in the spring should plan on attending a pre-season meeting next Tuesday, February 6th at 2:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.
Girls Golf Any girls interested in playing golf are encouraged to attend a meeting next Wednesday, February 7th at 2:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Coach Barnes will provide information about sign-ups, tryouts, and practices.

Parks & Rec Summer Employment The Berlin Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for summer positions for Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor/Lifeguard, Pool Attendant, and Summer Fun Supervisor. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and meet the required qualifications for these positions. Cast Ons Looking for a way to keep warm during the winter months? Are you interested in learning how to knit or crochet? If so, please join the "Cast Ons" on Thursday mornings at 6:45, in room 2302 with Ms. Gagnon (please note the change in meeting day). You can learn how to knit or crochet a scarf, hat and/or blanket. Please bring yarn and knitting needles or a crochet hook. If you have any questions about what to bring, please see me. Students and staff are welcome!
